The pyrophyllite addition at a rate of 200 kg ha-1 reduced Mn, Cu and Zn available forms in soil by 11.1, 20.4 and 11.2%, respectively, compared with control. The pyrophyllite addition at higher rates i.e. 400 and 600 kg ha -1 had an even higher impact on the decrease in Mn and Zn mobility in studied soil in comparison with 200 kg ha -1 .
The use of clay by humans for medicinal and wellness purposes is most probably as old as mankind. Within minerals, due to its ubiquitous occurrence in nature and easy availability, clay was the first to be used and is still used worldwide. Healing clays have been traditionally used by man for therapeutic, nutritional and skin care purposes, but they could impart some …

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock and one of the most common types of sedimentary rock and is found in sedimentary basins throughout the world. It is composed of sand-size grains rock fragment, mineral and organic material. Sand-size particles range in size from 1/16 millimeter to 2 millimeters in diameter. Also it have cementing material binds ...
Isoelectric point of pyrophyllite samples with 5, 20, 45 μm diameter particles and PYRO-PVP/AgNPs sample (Ag25mg/L) was evaluated to understand how the anticoagulant or procoagulant properties of the pyrophyllite varied according to the pH of the isoelectric point. Characterization of the
Clay mineral is an important material available in nature. With an increasing understanding of clay structure, montmorillonite is realized viable for an enhanced performance in a variety of materials and products in the areas of catalysis, food additive, antibacterial function, polymer, sorbent, etc. Significant development in the use and application of montmorillonite is …
Montmorillonite is introduced in terms of its natural sources, chemical structure, physical and chemical properties, and functional utilization. The important physical and chemical properties are ...
The structural and vibrational properties of two uncharged 2:1 phyllosilicates, talc and pyrophyllite, are investigated via ab initio and classical molecular dynamics simulations. The quantum mechanical simulations are based on plane−wave pseudopotential density functional theory (DFT), which is shown to be sufficiently accurate in predicting the clay mineral structural …
Pyrophyllite is a hydrous aluminium silicate harder and more refractory. A host of optical, refractory, chemical and physical properties determine the markets to which talc and pyrophyllite are suited. Local pyrophyllite deposits are internationally acclaimed as being "A-grade" and command a high price internationally, whilst

The utility of a clay mineral in specific applications are due to their physical and chemical properties, which are mainly dependent on two factors: (a) their crystal structure, which can be either a 1:1 structure (one tetrahedral sheet bound to another octahedral sheet) or a 2:1 structure (one octahedral sheet between two tetrahedral sheet) and (b) their chemical …
release properties of active medicinal agents. Endeavor has been made to rope in myriad applications depicting the wide acceptability of these clay minerals. With a variegated range of physical, chemical and physicochemical properties, clay minerals have an undisputable role in pharmaceutical industries. The minerals

properties of talc, therefor need for testing such properties in pyrophyllite is also essential. So, stability and antimicrobial study of this relatively unknown clay were in focus. Another important fact about study, is that pyrophyllite belongs to mineralogy treasure of Bosnia and Herzegovina (location Parsovici, Konjic)
clay particles are finer ( < 0.001 mm in diameter) and are. found in layered silicates. Clay minerals may be divided into four major groups, (Table I) mainly in terms of the variation in the ...
